German idea and quality appreciated by customers from all over the world

Where does the name ABEBA come from?

The word simply means “flower” and was derived directly from the name of the Ethiopian capital “ADDIS ABEBA”, which translates as “new flower”. However, the name itself has far more hidden meanings.

  • The first letter A symbolises the former production site, located in the Italian town of Arzergrande.
  • BE stands for Bender, a town on the west bank of the Dniester, where one of the company's production sites was also located.
  • BA stands for Barletta, a port city in the Italian province of Barletta-Andria-Trani in Apulia, which is also associated with ABEBA production.

The name sounds the same - read from the front as well as the back, which in turn gives it additional character.
